Microwave Desserts
Updated: Sep 15, 2019
Hey Guys!
I know I have not been posting lately. As many of you know, I have recently got a lead in a school performance. This was taking up a lot of my time and I was so busy learning choreography, memorizing lines, and going to rehearsals and costume fittings.
So anyway sorry for the absence of posts for so long. But I am back at it, and today we're going to be talking about microwave desserts. (as you probably already saw in the heading!)
I know a lot of us are sometimes too lazy to spend an hour in the kitchen baking just to relive our cravings for something sweet. But, there is another way you can relive your cravings with an easy fast appliance that most of us have: a microwave. Now you may be thinking, "ew. a microwave! gross! what can you even make??"
well, since you asked.........
Here are some of my favorite microwave dessert recipes that are easy and delicious.
Microwave Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet

You'll need:
2 tbs butter
1 tbs brown sugar
1 tbs sugar
1/4 tsp baking powder
a tiny pinch of salt
a splash of vanilla extract
Mix that together in a bowl with a spatula and then add:
3 tbs of flour (or GF flour if needed)
2-3 tbs of chocolate chips
Put the dough in a ramekin or small bowl and microwave for 60 seconds to a minute (depending on microwave)
This delicious, single serve chocolate chip cookie is such an easy treat to whip up in less than 5 minutes! you can also add ice cream and chocolate sauce to make it extra delicious. You really should give it a try.
Microwave Cinnamon Roll

You'll need:
For the dough:
6 tbs flour (or GF flour if needed)
3/4 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt (=1/8 tsp)
3 tbs milk
Then roll out the dough into a thick strip and add
2 tsp of cinnamon
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Then roll the strip into a cinnamon roll and put it in a mug.
For the glaze:
2 tbs powdered sugar
1 tbs butter
1tbs milk
Pour the glaze over your hit cinnamon roll!
This is a great option for a single serving breakfast or just a treat. Its also one of my favorites!
Obviously these are not as beautiful as gourmet bakery desserts, but they sure are easy, fast, and deliciously delicious!
Until next time,
Madie
